Dear Citizens of Barberton,
 

I regret to inform you that after much discussion and several meetings with the City of Barberton Officials, The Jaycees have decided to cancel the 2020 Cherry Blossom Festival. The most important thing to our organization is the safety of our festivalgoers. After the events that occurred last year, we are not confident that we can provide that safety. This organization has put on the festival for 63 years and it pains us to have to come to this decision. Our committee will be meeting this week to decide how to move forward. We may look to host the festival in a different location in 2021 as we would not be able to have it in the current location.
 

The Jaycees are 100% funded from the proceeds of the Cherry Blossom Festival. The future of the organization is up in the air. We hope to look for other fundraisers in hopes to continue the organization.

It has been our honor to host the event and we apologize to those of you who came to the Festival and looked forward to it every year.
